OUR STORIES
In our fourth edition of the Penneys "Pulse of the Nation" Index, we explore sustainability – what it means to consumers in Ireland and how it’s influencing their lifestyles and spending habits.
In partnership with Amárach Research, our latest volume of the Penneys Pulse of the Nation Index explores how Irish shoppers are feeling about sustainability today, and how it impacts their spending habits. We identified three key themes in the data:
An increasingly environmentally conscious public;
The public mindful of its wallet; and
A public making sense of sustainability
While the Irish public is becoming more environmentally conscious, just over half (54%) said they would not pay a premium for more sustainable goods and of those that would, around half (47%) would only be willing to pay up to 10% more.
