Leak Resistant Bra Launch

We’re proud to announce the launch of our new leak resistant bra, a specialist product designed to support women throughout pregnancy and post-partum by controlling leaks and odours and keeping clothing and the body dry. The latest addition to our maternity bra range, this new bra has been in development for over a year and is part of our wider commitment to support and empower women for life.

Over the last few years, we are so proud to have launched products like our period underwear, our post-surgery bras and our menopause collection, all with the aim of bringing specialist product innovation to our customers at the best value on the high street.

We know that specialist products like these aren’t accessible or affordable to everyone and we want to change this by bringing high-quality technical products that are comfortable, functional and look good to as many people as possible.

We are designing products to support women for each life stage, from first period to menopause. We are delighted to expand our maternity bra range with the launch of our new leak resistant maternity bra, designed to support women throughout pregnancy and post-partum.

The leak resistant bra was carefully designed by our bra technologists and specialist suppliers with four layers to help control leaks:

• The first layer is made from 100% cotton and is designed for comfort so that it is soft against sensitive and delicate skin.

• The second layer is made from 100% polyester towelling with a PU film and works to absorb milk and can hold up to 15ml of milk per bra cup.

• The third and fourth layers work together to provide further protection and prevent any leaks.

Combined, this technology works to reduce the need to wear disposable breast pads.”

Ann’s Top Tip: The leak resistant bra can be washed in a washing machine. To help you get the most from the product, I recommend rinsing it before you wash it. Simply run it under a lukewarm tap until there is no milk remaining and the water runs clear. Then pop it into the washing machine and wash on a low temperature.

Through our Primark Cares strategy, we are committed to making more sustainable products that are affordable for all. Our new leak resistant bra is made using a minimum of 50% recycled nylon and is under our Primark Cares label.
