We’re changing the way we design and make our clothes. Read more about it here.
We believe everyone should be able to look and feel great without breaking the bank. We want our customers to feel happy about the clothes they wear, so it’s our job to make our clothes in a way they feel good about.
We’ve set ambitious goals to extend the lifespan of our clothes, to increase our use of recycled and more sustainably sourced materials and to make it easier for our customers to recycle their clothing at the end of its life. We’ve come a long way, but there’s still more to do.
We created a Primark Cares label in 2018. It let customers know that all clothes with the label met our strict criteria of containing a set minimum amount of certain recycled or more sustainably sourced materials. A significant majority of our clothes are now made using these materials, and it’s now becoming the norm for us. That’s why we’ve decided we don’t need a separate label anymore, so you’ll soon start to notice that the Primark Cares logo won’t be included on our product labels or our website product pages.
But don’t worry – the removal of the logo is all that’s changing. Our strict minimum requirements for the fibres in these products remain in place and we continue to push ourselves to go further where we can. All the information on these recycled or more sustainably sourced fibres will be on product labels, on product information online and on signs in-store.

As an international retailer, we have a powerful voice. We’re using it to educate customers about their clothing choices and encouraging changes to make them last longer through repair. We’re also using our voice to share our learnings as we continue to change the way we make our products. Through initiatives like our Durability Framework, we’re showing how we can change and we want other retailers to learn and adapt with us.
