Our world is beautiful, and we want to keep it that way. That’s why we are working hard to reduce our impact on the planet. Discover what we’re doing.
We’re always looking for ways to do things better, from the way our cotton is grown to how we run our stores.
Waste, emissions and loss of biodiversity are all big issues in the fashion industry. We’re working to address these across areas where we can make the biggest difference. We’re also taking action on other environmental responsibilities in our supply chain, like managing the use of water and chemicals in our supply chain.
A key part of our work is finding ways to cut waste and reduce emissions in our stores and offices. Another important part is working with our suppliers to help drive improvements at their factories too.
Through the Primark Cotton Project (formerly the Primark Sustainable Cotton Programme), we’ve trained over 300,000 farmers in agricultural farming methods using less water and chemical pesticides and fertilisers. This lowers input costs and therefore boosts the farmers profits, while also reducing the environmental impact of their cotton grown. This cotton is used to make some of our products.
