CORPORATE NEWS
Christmas at Primark this year celebrates the joy of the season, and all the mini magic moments it brings.
‘You Bring the Joy’ campaign unveiled today launches Primark’s biggest ever offering: From Fam Jams and festive jumpers, party glamour and gifts, it’s the High Street destination for all things Christmas.
Primark wants to bring more joy to its communities, donating £250,000 in gift packs to local charities and inviting customers to get involved as well.
Primark is celebrating the heartwarming moments that make the festive season truly special as part of this year’s Christmas campaign ’You Bring the Joy’. Whether it's the joy you get from finding the perfect LBD for party season at an incredible price, picking up the perfect gift and seeing the smiles these bring, or just chilling in matching PJs at home with loved ones, the campaign is all about the feel-good joy that comes from these moments and connections over the holidays.
This Christmas, Primark is the high street destination for all things festive fashion and gifting at affordable prices. Partywear, gifting, festive pjs and jumpers, knitwear and accessories all take centre stage in store and with something for every member of the family, friends and colleagues, that means more time left to bring joy to others.
Fashion Highlights
For those who find their joy in dressing up at Christmas, burgundy is dominating this year’s partywear ranges. Landing in stores from next week, Rita Ora’s latest collection is bringing all the glamour, with burgundy sequins in both a midi dress and two-piece taking centre stage, alongside the must-have dress this year, her fresh modern take on the little black dress. It’s celebrating timeless glamour and style for all women, with Rita’s mum Vera modelling alongside her in the campaign.
But for every night out, there’s even more days in: a lot of the joy at Christmas is the coziness and comfort of spending time at home with family and friends. Christmas pajamas and jumpers continue to be very much a family affair, with seven choices of FamsJams styles and FamKnits expected to be the gift must-have. Twinning is now no longer reserved for bedtime - matching Christmas jumpers for the whole family soared in popularity last year and this year’s range is even bigger. From traditional styles such as tartan, to licensed character favourites including the Grinch, every family member – including four legged friends – can find their style.
Staying at home, this year’s festive trend is very much a return to tradition: with soft furnishings ceramics and even bedding all celebrating a more nostalgic Christmas. Homewear collections include lots of tartan and traditional red and green styles.
As the home of affordable gifting, this year highlights include Christmas editions of beauty favourites including bath bombs, lip balms and beauty tools and sweet treats like hot chocolate kits. An extended range of toys launches this year including licenced character favourites and plush toys and dolls, car sets and toy animals.
Finally, there’s no surer sign that Christmas has arrived then when Primark’s Christmas bags are spotted up and down the high streets. Once again, we’re transforming our iconic paper bag into festive – recyclable - wrapping paper. The limited-edition brown and red striped bags feature handy cutting lines and easy instructions, a budget-friendly and more sustainable gift wrap option.
Giving Back
The joy of giving back really embodies the true spirit of Christmas, and Primark stores across all countries are donating £250,000 worth of Christmas gift packs this year. Each store has partnered with a local charity to donate specially selected gift packs of clothes and festive treats suited to their chosen charity.
In selected Primark stores, Primark wants to invite its customers to join them and help spread even more joy: Customers can get involved and choose to buy and donate their own Christmas gift packs to the store’s chosen charity.
