Primark adds new season styles to its Adaptive range for Autumn/Winter

Primark has unveiled a number of new styles to its Adaptive range, just in time for Autumn/Winter.

More than 20 new pieces will be launching in selected stores across the UK as well as Click & Collect from today, including warm wardrobe essentials, from cosy red pyjamas and long sleeve tees to a new winter-ready waterproof jacket.

Developed to work as a capsule wardrobe, the collection spans everyday staples from jumpers, tees and jeans, through to nightwear, lingerie and performance wear. The launch follows Primark’s first Adaptive clothing range which hit the high street in January and is designed with features to meet the needs of disabled people and those experiencing temporary disability.

The new styles include:

  • Jersey oversized tee in brown (£14): A versatile everyday staple with popper fastenings at the neck and discreet side openings for tube access, also available as a seated option.

  • Black straight-leg jeans (£20) and seated style: Now available in a black wash, the classic wardrobe staple has been redesigned with a popper fly, elasticated waistband, easy-pull loops and tube-access pockets. The seated fit includes a longer back length and side splits for extra comfort.

  • Red boyfriend pyjama set (top £12 and bottoms - £12): This adapted version of Primark’s bestselling pyjamas features popper fastenings down the front, arm access, tube-access pockets, and elasticated waistband pulls, all while matching back to the popular Christmas range.

  • Lace bralette (£10): Now available in vibrant red as well as black, with magnetic closures for ease, removable pads and a low-plunge neckline.

  • Grey performance top (£8) and shorts (£8): Designed for movement and comfort, with chest and side openings for tube access, raglan seams for easier mobility, elasticated waistband, pull-loops and tube-access pockets.

  • Waterproof jacket (£25): Built for the outdoors, this lightweight jacket features a magnetic zip and tube-access pockets for easy wear whatever the weather, developed in direct response to feedback from customers.

The full adaptive range features over 40 items, with best sellers including:

  • Women’s trench coat (£40) – also available in a seated style (£30), with magnetic-pocket closures, zip sleeves, attached belt, and adjustable popper hem.

  • Women’s poplin shirt (£18) plus a seated style – crisp, versatile, with accessible openings and tube access.

In menswear, straight leg jeans (£18) return with magnetic buttons, waistband pulls, and tube-access pockets, with the seated version offering a longer back hem, ankle cut, and side zip. Other highlights include the padded gilet (£18) with magnetic zip and tube-access pockets, and the oxford shirt (£16), also in a seated fit, with side-seam opening and popper sleeves.

Primark has once again collaborated with award-winning adaptive fashion designer and disability campaigner, Victoria Jenkins, founder of Unhidden, on the collection.

“Bringing updated styles, choice and colour to my community is always my driving motivation. I am very proud of the team I work with that have embraced this category with enthusiasm. Primark are showing that reinvesting in adaptive collections should become the norm instead of one-off approaches, achieved by listening to their customers and collaboration with experts with lived experience.” said Victoria Jenkins.

Ann Marie Cregan, Trading Director at Primark added: “Building on our first Adaptive range, we’re introducing even more options from black straight leg jeans for men, to sports pieces created for movement and comfort and a red pyjama set perfect for the festive season. We’ve heard from customers how this range has made a real difference to their everyday lives, offering clothing that’s practical, comfortable and helps them feel confident. We’re continuing to learn and evolve our products, as we continue to build on our commitment to provide more accessible products as part of our range strategy.”

Adaptive clothing is designed to make dressing simpler and more comfortable for people with disabilities or those experiencing temporary mobility challenges. Features include magnetic fastenings, waist loops to aid dressing, and discreet openings for tubes, stomas, or catheters, combining functionality with everyday style.

The collection is the latest development in Primark’s commitment to become a more accessible place to shop and work. This includes offering more accessible products, creating inclusive store environments, fostering a culture of accessibility and ensuring diverse representation across its campaigns. Earlier this summer, Primark unveiled its first seated mannequin, co-created with disability advocate Sophie Morgan, and announced updates to its kidswear range, building sensory-friendly features into its core lines.

Alongside the 31 stores in the UK offering the range, it will also be sold via Click & Collect, now available in all stores across Great Britain. For those looking to purchase the range via Click & Collect, colleagues will be on hand to offer assistance in picking up their order.

AccessAble Detailed Access Guides are also available for all UK and Republic of Ireland stores to help customers plan their visits with confidence. For more, visit primark.com.
