Primark expands partnership with Recover™ and becomes first retailer to introduce RColorBlend on a global scale
Primark is expanding its partnership with recycled cotton producer Recover™ and will become the first high-street retailer to use Recover’s unique RColorBlend fibre on a global scale with the launch of a new leisurewear range. The partnership supports Primark’s commitment, through its Primark Cares strategy, to increase the amount of clothing containing recycled materials and builds on its ambition to make more sustainable fashion affordable for all.
Primark launches global partnership with Fairtrade
Primark has today announced a global partnership with Fairtrade with the launch of a new beauty collection across all 14 markets. Part of Primark’s Wellness collection, the new range features body butter, bath oil, face cream, balm to oil cleanser, multibalm and hand cream, which are all made using Fairtrade certified shea butter and olive oil. The products will be available in a select number of stores across Europe and the U.S.

Primark announces major expansion of its Sustainable Cotton Programme, intending to train 275,000 cotton farmers in more sustainable farming by 2023
Primark has today announced a major expansion of its Sustainable Cotton Programme – it has committed to train an additional 125,000 smallholder cotton farmers in more sustainable farming methods in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh by the end of 2023, increasing the expected availability of sustainable cotton for its products by 60%. This will bring the total number of farmers in the PSCP to over 275,000, an expansion of over 80%, cementing its position as the largest of its kind of any single fashion retailer.
Primark announces half-year progress in its Primark Cares sustainability commitments
Primark has published early progress against some of its sustainability commitments seven months on from the launch of its strategy, Primark Cares. Today, almost 40% (39%) of all Primark clothes are made from recycled or more sustainable* materials, a 14% increase from September 2021, strong progress towards the target of 100% by 2030.
Primark partners with Canopy to keep clothes and packaging free of materials from Ancient and Endangered forests
Primark is joining forces with not-for-profit environmental organisation Canopy as part of its ambition to protect the planet and conserve the world’s most vital forests through more responsible sourcing of fibres and sustainable manufacturing.
