Primark announces major expansion of its Sustainable Cotton Programme, intending to train 275,000 cotton farmers in more sustainable farming by 2023
Primark has today announced a major expansion of its Sustainable Cotton Programme – it has committed to train an additional 125,000 smallholder cotton farmers in more sustainable farming methods in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh by the end of 2023, increasing the expected availability of sustainable cotton for its products by 60%. This will bring the total number of farmers in the PSCP to over 275,000, an expansion of over 80%, cementing its position as the largest of its kind of any single fashion retailer.
Primark announces half-year progress in its Primark Cares sustainability commitments
Primark has published early progress against some of its sustainability commitments seven months on from the launch of its strategy, Primark Cares. Today, almost 40% (39%) of all Primark clothes are made from recycled or more sustainable* materials, a 14% increase from September 2021, strong progress towards the target of 100% by 2030.

Primark has today revealed its new customer website in the UK. Created to better connect the journey between searching online and then shopping in store, the new site features thousands of products from across Primark’s best-selling ranges, as well as a fresh design, enhanced navigation and a new feature that allows customers to check stock availability in their local store.
Love your clothes for longer through repair
We have been told by our customers that they want to learn more about repairing their clothes to keep them for longer, so we are delighted to be partnering with London Recycles UK for London Repair Week 2022. To celebrate the week, we are hosting repair workshops in-store in Westfield, Hammersmith and Oxford Street East stores , teaching customers basic hand sewing skills including how to attach zips and buttons so they can repair, rewear and love their clothes for longer.
