Our Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability Team is responsible for implementing our Code of Conduct as well as additional programs and policies. These include Primark’s compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act; implementing our structural safety program; and working in collaboration with global and local experts, as well as other brands and retailers, on programs designed to drive improvements throughout the textile industry.
Uzbek and Turkmen cotton pledge
In 2015, Primark signed the Cotton Pledge, committing to not knowingly source Uzbek cotton for the manufacturing of any of our products until the Government of Uzbekistan ends the practice of forced child and adult labor in its cotton sector. In 2016,we extended this ban to Turkmenistan.
Anti-bribery and corruption policy
As a subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF), Primark has adopted ABF’s Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy. ABF is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance with all relevant laws wherever business is conducted. Speak Up Policy
Primark is committed to providing confidential channels to ensure that team members can report anything they believe to be inappropriate, improper, dishonest, illegal or dangerous. Our Speak Up Portal, which can be accessed anytime online or by phone, is a resource for coming forward and expressing such concerns. Primark’s Speak Up Policy can be downloaded below.
Tell Us Policy
Primark is committed to providing confidential channels to ensure that workers (such as full-time workers, part-time or fixed-term workers, casual or agency workers, home workers, secondees, trainees or volunteers) and suppliers throughout Primark’s supply chain and people who live by the sites which make Primark products can report anything they believe to be inappropriate, improper, dishonest, illegal or dangerous.
