New store will open in the ‘Cremona Po’ shopping centre in Cremona
The new Primark store has created 100 new jobs locally
Primark, the international fashion retailer, has officially opened the doors to its eagerly anticipated new store in the Cremona Po shopping centre of Cremona today. This marks Primark’s 21st store in Italy, and the fifth in Lombardy region. The opening of the new store in Cremona sees Primark invest €6 million in the region, creating 100 new retail jobs locally.
Spanning 2,000 sq. metres of shopping space across a single level, Primark Cremona Po offers the fantastic in-store experience that Primark is already known and loved for across Italy. Customers can shop an extensive range of products from everyday essentials to the latest trends in fashion, including its premium Edit collection and collaboration with Paula Echevarria. The store also features beauty, lifestyle, and homeware ranges, all at Primark’s famously affordable prices. Opening just in time for the late summer season, the store will offer customers the perfect opportunity to pick up last-minute summer essentials while getting a head start on their back-to-school shopping.
The new store will be equipped with six fitting rooms, including one accessible changing area, alongside six self-service checkouts and four traditional till points.
With 100 new jobs created locally, the store will make a meaningful contribution to the community's economic growth, bringing Primark’s total workforce in Italy to over 5,000 colleagues. Primark is committed to creating a positive and inclusive workplace, with a strong focus on development, progression and supporting people at every stage of their careers.
Many colleagues have built long-term careers with the business, supported by programmes such as ‘Grow with Us’ which continues to develop talent from entry level into management positions across stores and the regional office. Alongside this, Primark is working with specialist partners including Adecco Foundation, UNHCR, Seconda Chance and Special Olympics to help remove barriers and create pathways into retail for people who may face challenges accessing employment.

The opening of Primark Cremona Po marks an important milestone as the retailer continues its ambitious expansion roadmap in Italy, with plans to open seven further stores in the coming years, we well as Primark’s first depot in Italy, located in Alessandria which will supply all of Primark's Italian stores and facilitate future growth.
Primark currently operates 497 stores across 19 markets in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
